How Long Does Dysport Take to Work?

Aging is a natural occurrence and many of us freak out at the thought of getting old. As we age, we notice that the wrinkles on our skin begin to get more obvious.

Your antiaging cream is probably acting really slow and you want fast results for seamless skin.
With dysport, you could see your aging concerns disappear leaving you with smoother skin.

Dysport is medically known as abobotulinumtoxin A. It is a prescription injection used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles. It is formulated with botulinum toxin, an acetylcholine release inhibitor, and neuromuscular blocking agent, that inhibits facial muscle movement.

Once your muscle movement is inhibited, you can see the result achieved. Your skin should remain smooth and wrinkle-free even when you make your normal expressions. Dysport can also be used to raise eyebrows, lift the corners of your mouth, decrease dimpling chin, reduce neckline, and slim the face, by decreasing the bulk of the jaw muscles.

Results are quick to appear once you have had a Dysport treatment. Experiences differ, but Dysport has proven to work within 2-3 days of your first treatment. You can watch your frown lines begin to disappear, 48 hours after administration of Dysport injection, but it becomes even more obvious after 2 weeks of administration. It is a fast-acting treatment, compared to other alternatives, you may have to wait 4 weeks before you see any visible result.

You probably have a big event coming up soon and you wish to maintain a smooth, flawless, and natural face. It is better to schedule an appointment for the treatment a few weeks before the D-Day, but in case you forgot to do so, and you wish to hasten your result, there are a few tips that can help you do that.

1) Massage the treated area: massaging helps to work the treatment into your muscles and hasten the visibility of the result. You only have to massage the treated area for 5 minutes shortly after your treatment, 4 more times during the day, and repeat for the next 4 days.

2) Exercise the treated muscle: another way to work the neurotoxic protein into your treated muscle faster is to exercise the muscle. How do you do this?

For instance, if you are treating deep forehead folds, scowl as hard as you can 40 times in a row. Do this 4 times a day, with 10 minutes of rest, at intervals, to achieve fast results.

The results of Dysport last between 4-6 months, but you should know that the durability of your treatment depends primarily on where the medication was injected and how often you use those facial muscles.

When injected into areas where you use a lot, the treatment will not last long. For instance, when injected into the muscle of your upper eyelid, being that an average person blinks every 4 seconds, there is hyperactivity in that area.Dysport when injected in this area, will only last as long as a month.

Other factors that determine how long Dysport treatment will last are:

1) Severity of your wrinkles: deeper wrinkles and folds are caused by the hyperactivity of stringer muscles so the final result of the treatment won’t last as long as it would for fine and moderate wrinkles.

2) Quality of the medication: just like your normal drugs, when exposed to humidity or light, lose their potency, so it is with Dysport.

When Dysport is not stored properly it becomes less effective making the treatment not last long enough. A cool, dark, dry place is recommended as a storage area.

3) Lifestyle of the candidate: research has shown that individuals who engage in cardiovascular exercise, more than 5 times a week, will need to follow up treatments more regularly than those who perform less or mild exercises.

You are a good candidate for Dysport treatment if you are an adult man or woman between the age of 18-65 concerned about hyperdynamic muscles. However, you should be in good health and free from any skin irritation or infection.

The aftercare treatment also determined how long your Dysport treatment will last. A few aftercare treatment guidelines include:
– Avoid the direct sunlight effect by using a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least 35 sun protection factors.
– You should not sleep on your face for the first two nights after treatment.
–  Also try to maintain good stable blood pressure by avoiding strenuous exercise, smoking, caffeine, alcohol, and excessive sodium.

– Pregnant women and lactating mothers should not sign up for this type of treatment.
– If you are sensitive or allergic to the type of protein found in cow’s milk, you are not suitable for the treatment.
– Furthermore, Dysport neurotoxic protein injection is not ideal for individuals with certain medical conditions like: Parkinson’s disease Epilepsy Multiple Sclerosis Myasthenia gravis.
